Erica and Barry are a couple of gems. They are two of the sweetest, most genuine people. They also work at the incredible T Lazy 7 Ranch in Aspen, so when they told me they were having a T Lazy 7 Ranch wedding, it only made sense! As a Colorado mountain wedding photographer, I was thrilled to be shooting at this stunning Aspen wedding venue!

Erica got ready with her bridesmaids at the Little Nell hotel in downtown Aspen. She was so cute during the whole getting ready process! She was nervous and excited, and kept wondering how Barry was doing. She said at one point, “Oh I can’t wait to see Barry- I just love him so much. I bet he looks so handsome!” Talk about precious!

We did Barry and Erica’s first look downtown Aspen, followed by some bridal party and bride and groom photos. It was October and the yellow aspens were on fire- the color was seriously unreal! The timing for the color was absolutely perfect. The weather was so wonderful too, nice and sunny. Afterwards we drove on over to the T Lazy 7 Ranch wedding venue, which is just minutes from the iconic Maroon Bells. The ceremony was in an open field on the Ranch, with the majestic Bells in the background.

Now Erica had a few tricks up her little bridal sleeve. She made quite the entrance to the ceremony sitting on the back of the T Lazy 7 Ranch wedding venue’s beautiful old yellow car! All of the guests cheered as she drove down the road! Then in the ceremony she had an Aspen cop come and “read them their rights” and handcuff them together for eternity! Erica has quite the sense of humor and she didn’t hold back!

Needless to say, Barry and Erica’s T Lazy 7 Ranch wedding in Aspen was beautiful, and certainly one to remember!

When Allie and Kyle hired me to document their Lionsgate Event Center wedding photos, I was beyond thrilled! Let’s back up a minute though and visit my history with these two. A couple years back, I photographed a wedding and the bride and groom were Kelsey and Marshall. Kyle is Marshall’s brother, and all 4 of them are super close friends. So Kyle and Allie were both in the wedding party. I got to know them a bit through that super fun wedding. I was so excited to hear a year or so later that Allie and Kyle were engaged!

We got to chatting about what they envisioned for their Lionsgate Event Center wedding photos, and I was so excited when they chose me as their photographer! You may recall their gorgeous fall Evergreen engagement session. We caught some beautiful yellow aspens up at Squaw Pass. They were adorable, so cute and snuggly, and I knew their wedding was going to be amazing as well!

November 11 turned out to be a perfect fall day. Even better for a wedding day! After getting ready photos, we went to Davidson Mesa Trailhead in Louisville for the first look and some bridal party photos. It was absolutely beautiful! Next we headed on to the venue for some more Lionsgate Event Center wedding photos. Allie and Kyle’s crew is super fun, so of course I got some fun dancing photos of them! We also grabbed a few bride and groom photos inside the Chandelier Barn, which is absolutely unreal! I’ve never seen anything like it.

Stone Mountain Lodge Wedding | Colorado Mountain Wedding Photographer | Lyons Colorado Wedding Venues

 

Mandy and Greg wanted to facetime and get to know me a bit after inquiring about using me as their wedding photographer. Within the first few minutes I could tell we were going to be a great match! Greg was cracking jokes and Mandy was laughing hysterically. That about sums them up right there! These two are such an incredible couple. They are super fun and easy going! When they started telling me about their Stone Mountain Lodge wedding, I knew it was going to be a dream! Mandy told me how one of the perks of the venue is that they take you up the mountain in an ATV for bride and portraits. Um, yes please! Talk about an incredible view for photos!

Everything about this Stone Mountain Lodge wedding was perfection. This venue has so many little nooks for beautiful photos. I mean just look at this first dress shot for example! Talk about the perfect little spot for it! I feel that I also mention the fact that I’m pretty sure Greg was trying to make everyone at the ceremony bawl their eyes out. He is super emotional and was crying throughout. And then he and Mandy shared the sweetest moment with Greg’s daughter by making her promises and giving her a special necklace. Trust me, I looked around and there were no dry eyes in the place! It was the most emotional ceremony I’ve documented yet.

Villa Parker Wedding | Kathryn Kim Photography | Colorado Wedding Venues

Sammi and Conlin are high school sweethearts! There is always something so special about young love like that. I just love it! You might remember these two sweet souls from their Loveland Pass engagement session I posted not too long ago. Feel free to check out that epic mountain session again real quick right here! Earlier this year I met with Sammi and we talked about their sweet love story, and then their incredible Villa Parker wedding they were planning. I was ecstatic because this is truly one of my favorite Colorado wedding venues! I adore the Spanish feel that it has, and the gorgeous stucco. It definitely doesn’t feel like you’re in Colorado!

I had previously shot Villa Parker weddings on their back lawn, which is beautiful. But Sammi and Conlin had their ceremony right in front of the entrance to the building, which has super fun string lights, and a fountain with beautiful flower bouquets. It was absolute perfection! I loved capturing the Spanish feel in the ceremony in addition to the portraits! There are so many beautiful locations around the venue for bride and groom and bridal party photos. I had a blast taking Sammi and Conlin around and taking full advantage of all the scenic spots! It was an August wedding, and therefore everything was very green and lush. It looked like a dream with the soft pink bridesmaids dresses.
