Ahh where do I even start with these two?! I just love them so much! Leandrea and Stephen are the most joyful, kind souls. It has been such an honor to get to know them. When they told me they wanted a Glen Eyrie castle engagement session, I had to look it up because I had never heard of it! But I quickly saw that this place was a gem and going to be so magical. Let’s just say it did not disappoint! It felt like we were in a fairytale walking around the beautiful grounds taking their engagement photos. But let’s back up and talk about how these two met!
The Love Story
I actually know Leandrea’s sister, Julianna from college in Georgia (go Dawgs!), which is where they also grew up. So after college Julianna met her husband in Nashville, and eventually moved out to Denver. Leandrea moved to Colorado Springs not long after, because sister love! Stephen was born and raised in Colorado and was living in Denver at the time. He took a different job and moved down to the Springs, and felt like he was supposed to make a profile on a Christian dating app. So he was new to this whole dating app world, but let’s just say Leandrea was a little more seasoned! She sees his picture and “smiles” at him, he “smiles” back. Next thing they know they are going on a first date. Leandrea laughs because she says she had another date lined up for the next night, which is totally not like her! But she and Stephen had such a strong connection on that first date, they both knew walking away that it was very likely to be the last first date for each of them. How sweet! (She still went on the “date” the next night but only to end that before it ever began! Haha)
Glen Eyrie Castle Engagement
So we met down in the Springs for Leandrea and Stephen’s Glen Eyrie castle engagement session, and were all just blown away by the beauty. The castle is a special place to Leandrea and she was giving Stephen and me all the inside scoop as we explored. It was so fun! I just love these two, and this session!
