As a Mountain View Ranch wedding photographer, I have had the honor of witnessing countless weddings! Yet I feel like every time I go to a wedding, I learn something new about marriage. Or I am impacted or inspired in some way. At Tamara and Matthew’s Mountain View Ranch wedding, I was inspired to be a better wife during their ceremony. Matthew said one of the things he loves about Tamara is that she participates in his hobbies with him that she may not exactly enjoy. But she does it because she knows these things are important to him. That resonated with me so much. Cue time to work on being selfless towards my hubbies’ hobbies!
Tamara also said something I loved while she was getting ready that morning. She said that going through the wedding planning process with Matthew made her want to marry him even more than she already did! I feel like that says so much about Matthew’s character. Because if you’ve planned a wedding, you know that it can be so stressful!
The Adorable Love Story
So, it turns out these two cuties met while getting their PhD’s in Chemistry at UC Berkeley! Yes, we have a couple of smarties on our hands. Their story is quite cute, so I’ll share some of it with you. They were in the same group of friends for awhile. Then eventually all of their other friends started coupling off or dating other people outside the group. So their friends weren’t as available to hang out anymore. Tamara and Matthew decided to continue to do the same things they did with their friends before, such as going out to dinner, going to movies, playing games etc. But now it was just the two of them! Eventually that has to end in love right?! For these two it sure did! They joke about how absolutely no one was surprised when they started dating (except maybe them!) And now here we are, having celebrated their love on the beautiful day they chose to commit their lives to each other.

I am so honored that Tamara and Matthew chose me as their Mountain View Ranch wedding photographer! Their wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish..it was easy going and laid back. Even the weather was on our side! And it was so obvious how much everyone loves these two and that they are incredible together!
