Eek, I am so ecstatic to share Samantha and Justin’s Golden Gate Canyon State Park elopement with y’all! These two sweeties hail from North Carolina where they were born and raised. They have been together since high school and have a sweet daughter named Kali. Justin said they have never been very traditional, and wanted to have an intimate elopement, just the two of them. They wanted their wedding to be small, personal, and memorable. And it was indeed. 🙂 It has always been a dream of theirs to visit Colorado. They grew up near the beach, but wanted to explore the beautiful mountains of Colorado!
They chose to have a Golden Gate Canyon State Park elopement at the incredible Panorama Point. This spot was so intimate and sweet, and had views for days. I think these two got just what they had their hearts set on!
Even though there was no chance of rain going into the day, Colorado is crazy. And it started raining pretty hard in the middle of their ceremony. We gave these two an umbrella and they kept going. Afterwards Justin said, “We’ve been together for 12 years, I think we can handle a little rain.” I thought that was so sweet. They weren’t bothered one bit as we waited for the rain to let up. Once it did, the sun came out, Justin’s shirt dried out, and you’d have never known it was just downpouring! We captured some stunning golden hour portraits. Panorama Point’s views of the Colorado mountains did not disappoint!
